Morten Goodwin is a full-time professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Agder (UiA), adjunct professor at OsloMet – storbyuniversitetet, co-founder and CTO of AIVEO, Chief Scientist of AI:hub, Deputy Director of CAIR Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research, and one of Norway’s foremost experts on artificial intelligence. Morten alternates between being a professor, teacher, public debater, communicator, author, and CTO. He is an active researcher specializing in deep neural networks and has more than 15 years of academic experience, a doctorate, and more than 150 peer-reviewed articles. He is engaged in several big projects in fundamental and applied AI research within agriculture, aquaculture, cultural production, education, health, industry optimization, natural language processing, and recommendation engines. He especially enjoys being an author, debater, and public speaker, and holds science lectures, focusing on the opportunities for AI and demystifying his research field.
