ODA Leader Award 2024 Finalists

Since its establishment in 2009, ODA-Nettverk has been awarded dedicated work supporting gender equality and diversity within the tech industry.

This year, we are revitalizing the ODA Awards, adopting a gender-neutral approach and implementing new categories. The ODA Leader Award will be presented for the first time. The award is given to a visionary leader who inspires others in their leadership for change. The leader is known for a track record of success, recognized in their field and a visible advocate for diversity and inclusion through public engagements.

The winner will be announced at ODA Inspiration Day on June 6. The finalists are:

Candidate 1: Gina Gjerme

Gina Gjerme, Regional Director at Capgemini, challenges and inspires in a male-dominated industry. She is fostering innovation to create a future-ready workplace by strengthening organizational culture.

With over 25 years of experience, she has significantly expanded Capgemini’s Bergen office from 40 to over 180 employees in 5 years, demonstrating exceptional leadership and strategic thinking.

Gina’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident in her efforts to increase female representation to approximately 45% and establish women@capgemini in Bergen, actively contributing to diversity in the tech industry.

Candidate 2: Hans-Henrik Merckoll

Hans-Henrik Merckoll, Country General Manager of IBM Norway, drives transformative change within the organization and across the tech industry.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, he has delivered strong financial results and double-digit business growth while fostering a culture of inclusivity, achieving the highest score on the engagement and inclusion index.

Recognized for his expertise, he actively shares knowledge on new technology and AI, advocating for diversity and inclusion through initiatives like promoting women in leadership roles and supporting mental health awareness.

Candidate 3: Marianne Wahlstrøm

Marianne Wahlstrøm, the CEO of Novanet, is a visionary leader who has fostered exceptionally high employee satisfaction and stability while ensuring steady economic growth.

With over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, she leads one of Norway’s premier senior .NET communities, promoting a strong culture of knowledge sharing and technical expertise.

Marianne’s inclusive leadership style is reflected in her dedication to her employees’ personal and professional growth and well-being. This dedication has made Novanet a workplace defined by a strong sense of community and development opportunities.
